ELOREA Brings Modern Korean Perfumery to Los Angeles

The newest store in Los Angeles’ Koreatown, ELOREA, has opened its doors, bringing a sensory experience that artfully fuses Korean heritage with modern perfumery. Founded by Korean American couple Su-min Park and Wonny Lee, ELOREA was born out of a desire to revive and celebrate traditional Korean scent culture — something they felt was missing from the fragrance landscape. The brand name itself is a blend of the words “Elements” and “Korea” perfectly encapsulating their mission to create fragrances that honor the past while embracing the present.

Originally established in New York, ELOREA has made its way to LA, setting up shop in the historic Chapman Court building. The space is as stunning as the scents it houses — think minimalist elegance with natural textures and light peering through arched windows, offering views of Koreatown and Griffith Park. Beyond being a perfumery, it’s an immersive experience that reflects the brand’s philosophy of balance, innovation, and mindful craftsmanship.

Every fragrance at ELOREA tells a story — rooted in the Korean concept of Jeong (정), which emphasizes collective responsibility and community. The scents are crafted with high-quality ingredients sourced directly from Korea, with meticulous attention to detail and no harmful synthetics. Each scent is produced in small batches to ensure exceptional quality and thoughtful artistry. From the invigorating freshness of “Water” or the smoky warmth of “Fire,” every fragrance feels like a bridge between tradition and modernity.

The brand’s Los Angeles flagship is also about community and connecting the senses. The café within the store offers drinks inspired by their four-element fragrance collection. Imagine sipping on an airy jasmine-cream matcha or indulging in a bright, citrusy yuja tea while soaking in the calm, welcoming atmosphere. This fusion of olfactory and culinary creativity truly makes the space feel like a breath of fresh air in and otherwise crowded, bustling city.

While establishing an identity of elegant aesthetics and mesmerizing scents, ELOREA is also committed to giving back. The brand partners with several organizations that support the Korean American community and cultural initiatives, including the Korean American Association of Greater New York, Korean American Story, Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York, Civil Arts, Yori Chunsa (요리천사), and the Hado Haenyeo Choir (하도해녀합창단), reinforcing their dedication to honoring heritage in both art and action.

The opening of ELOREA’s LA location marks a new chapter for the brand — one where the rich traditions of Korea meet the transforming spirit of Los Angeles. ELOREA isn’t just selling scents, no, it’s cultivating an experience — one that lingers long after you’ve left.
